ABOUT
Charming, generous, cunning. Cynical, insincere, vindictive. Hugo is a man who is shaped deeply by his past and is doing his best to overcome it… To mixed results.
Hugo is an illegitimate child of one of the more prominent, powerful families in New Eridu, the Ravenlock family. Hugo’s mother resented him from his birth and eventually officially sold him to the family out of her own self-interest, thus plunging Hugo’s childhood into a vicious world where all the children of the family competed with each other for the right to inherit the estate as adults. No tactics were off-limits, and failure was punished brutally, so when his half-siblings murdered the one member of the family that was kind to him—
He was praised by his father for being willing to do whatever it takes to succeed.
Hugo ran away from the family not long after, unable to stomach the cruelty of his family and how he seemed to be becoming a front-runner to become his father than the hated. Hugo met Lycaon, a wolf theiren (aka a furry), and a man named Jack took them both under his wing. Together, they formed Mockingbird, a thief syndicate who focused on justice and stealing from the rich to repatriate the riches to the poor. But when a chance came to finally confront his father, well.
Surely, a family like that deserves a fate worse than death, now doesn't it?
FIRST IMPRESSIONS Honestly, Hugo just looks like a vampire, even before he gives you his incredibly fake, vampire-sounding name. Yet, in both cases, that’s just strange, cursed coincidence.
Hugo is a tall, lean man, and he’s very handsome and/or beautiful, depending on which word you fancy. He’s clearly very much someone who cares about his appearance, since his long, blonde hair is always neatly styled and well-taken care for, and he goes through the trouble of little beauty routines like manicures and skincare, though he leans subtle for both. It all compliments his penchant for being well-dressed and accessorized—he conveys an easy sense of confident elegance.
…However, maybe that’s to distract from the odder parts of his appearance. Hugo has a natural heterochromia with one grey eye and one red and despite his clear self-care, he always seems to have dark bags under his eyes. He also has long, pointed (elfish) ears and slightly sharpened canines that really do sell the overall vampire impression. How strange, right?

- Fighting with this character: Go for it!
- Injuring this character: Just check in first! He's a bit fragile, so the more severe the injury, the more we need to talk.
