In general, Hugo is always using his Spectral glamor to appear as he does in canon, though to be fair, his normal appearance is very Spectral already with:

~~Heterochromia (one gray, one red)~~

UPDATE: Thanks to Set in the February 2026 event, Hugo no longer has heterochromia in his glamor! Both of his eyes are red, but upon close inspection, the eye that was formerly grey isn't quite right... The iris is in fact flower petals of a red lotus. Think this but more subtle!

One thing that his glamor can't hide is that he's now cold to the touch, almost uncomfortably so.

When Hugo is not using his glamor, he has the following traits:

Black sclera, and his still mismatched irises have a glowing quality.

UPDATE: Also thanks to Set, his grey eye is actually completely gone. In its place is a red lotus flower that's slightly recessed into the socket. If you get a glimpse of the inside of his skull, it's clearly rooted there. Since this was Set's attempt to heal some damage, it's very resilient and will always grow back even if, uh, pruned.

Transparent skin from the chin down (with his neck being a gradient of the effect), and besides being paler, underneath his skin is:
- A complete lack of organs—Only Hugo's bones remain. Those bones have a slightly prismatic red-purple effect like the images above. Imagine it like the fuzziness of an x-ray, but colored.
- Inside his ribcage where his heart would have sat a crystal has taken root and lightly pulsates with light (the gif above)
- Strands of black wrap around his bones emanating from the crystal.
- Also, if you have very sharp eyes, you'll be able to see the (tiny!) Augmenter in Hugo's neck
UPDATE: As of March 2026, some areas on Hugo's face show bone in an effect that's like paint that's flaked off.
If Hugo isn't concentrating on it (or allows it), the ghostly skin stops being a barrier, and his bones can be touched directly. They're sensitive.
"Highlights" in his hair that lightly glow. For the canon-familiar, it's his signature W-Engine effect, and if you're not, it's a la the bottom center image above.
He's extremely light! Despite being 6'1", most people will find that they could lift him without much trouble. Did you know the average weight of an adult human skeleton is about 25 pounds? Now you do!
His left wrist is now growing a small, red rose, thanks to Gregor! Hugo has gently twined it down so that it sits tucked between the bones of his forearm rather than being in the way and liable to get damaged.
